GE, Symbion To Build 400-MW Gas-Fired Plant In Tanzania

Law360, New York (June 21, 2013, 3:28 PM ET) -- General Electric Co. and the Tanzanian subsidiary of U.S. energy developer Symbion Power LLC have signed a cooperation agreement to build a 400-megawatt power plant in the African country, GE announced Friday.

The agreement was signed in a ceremony in Dodoma, Tanzania' s capital, on Friday. The two companies will build the gas-fired power plant in Mtwara, along with a transmission line connecting the plant to the city of Songea.
