NRC Says Indian Point Poses Little Threat To Aquatic Life

Law360, New York (June 26, 2013, 4:43 PM EDT) -- Staff at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Tuesday held fast to their opinion that Entergy Corp.'s Indian Point nuclear plant should be relicensed, saying the New York plant's continued operation wouldn't significantly harm aquatic life in the Hudson River.

NRC staff released a supplement to a 2010 final environmental impact statement that backed the relicensing of Indian Point, which sits on the Hudson River just north of New York City, examining the plant's impact on the river's aquatic life, including two endangered species of fish....
