Interior Approves 500-MW BP Wind Project in Ariz.

Law360, New York (June 28, 2013, 6:06 PM ET) -- The U.S. Interior Department on Friday announced the approval of a major BP Wind Energy North America Inc. clean energy project in Arizona it says will power up to 175,000 homes and push forward President Barack Obama’s recently unveiled climate change action plan.

Interior Secretary Sally Jewell said the Mohave County Wind Farm, which will consist of up to 243 wind turbines constructed on public lands in northwestern Arizona, will create as many as 750 new jobs and generate up to 500 megawatts of power....
