Calif. Appeals Court Denies Sleep Pay To 24-Hour Guards

Law360, San Francisco (July 3, 2013, 8:30 PM ET) -- A California appeals court on Wednesday ordered CPS Security Solutions Inc. to compensate “trailer guards” for weekday on-call hours, but ruled in the class action over CPS' payment practices that the company doesn't have to shell out for “sleep time” on 24-hour weekend shifts.
