GOP's Fannie, Freddie Wind-Down Bill Moves To House Floor

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 12:23 PM ET) -- Republicans on the House Financial Services Committee on Wednesday fended off a series of amendments to a bill that would eliminate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, including one that would have reinstated the federal guarantee on the mortgage market in times of severe financial stress.
