Dow, PPG Hit With Workplace Toxic Tort Over Man's Death

Law360, Philadelphia (September 11, 2013, 3:17 PM ET) -- The estate of a Pennsylvania man who died from bladder cancer sued Dow Chemical Co., PPG Industries Inc. and several other chemical companies in state court last week, contending that he was regularly exposed to a carcinogenic solvent while on the job.

Christopher Landis sued the companies, which also include Brenntag Northeast Inc., Mallinckrodt Baker Inc. and Occidental Petroleum Corp., on behalf of his deceased father Delmar Landis, who worked at an Armstrong World Industries flooring factory in Lancaster, Pa.
