The Hotel Market Check-In: Cascade, Summit, IHG

The company scooped up a luxury Four Seasons-flagged hotel in Houston from Maritz Wolff & Co. for an undisclosed amount, according to a Wednesday statement. Beyond this mega-deal, however, Summit Hotel Properties Inc. also made a play in Houston, bagging a 182-room Hilton Garden Inn for $37.5 million, the company revealed. And on Tuesday, White Lodging Services Corp. announced that it's joint venture with REI Real Estate Services LLC and a local investor family had broken ground a few weeks earlier on what will become a 20-story Westin in downtown Austin....
