Comcast Hits Houston Sports Network With Involuntary Ch. 11

Law360, New York (September 30, 2013, 7:01 PM ET) -- Affiliates of Houston Regional Sports Network LP, which is jointly owned by Comcast, the Houston Astros and the Houston Rockets, filed an involuntary petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on an emergency basis against the network in Texas federal court Friday, citing a “debilitating deadlock” in its management.

Houston SportsNet Finance LLC, Comcast Sports Management Services LLC, National Digital Television Center LLC and Comcast SportsNet California LLC filed the petition to appoint an interim trustee in the case to administer the network’s affairs. According to the filing,...
