Union Backs AA-US Airways Deal In Bid To Enter Suit

Law360, New York (October 02, 2013, 7:54 PM ET) -- The union representing  more than 23,000 American Airlines Inc. workers backed the company's $11 billion merger with US Airways Group Inc. on Wednesday as it moved to intervene in U.S. antitrust authorities' suit aimed at blocking the deal, arguing the merger is in the best interest of the bankrupt airline's workers.
