NY Bill Seeks 10-Year Utility Overcharge Liability Limit

Law360, New York (October 03, 2013, 5:46 PM ET) -- Manhattan Democratic Sen. Liz Krueger on Wednesday introduced a bill that would extend the period of liability for New York utilities that overcharge customers from the current six years to 10 years, saying customers often learn of gas, electric and telephone overbilling after it has gone on for years.
