Argentina Can't Carry Out Bond Exchange Plan, Judge Says

Law360, New York (October 03, 2013, 11:17 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Thursday barred Argentina from allowing holders of restructured bonds to exchange them for securities payable within that country, saying the plan would violate his orders in a lawsuit seeking to compel Argentina to pay nearly $1.4 billion to holdout creditors seeking repayment on defaulted bonds.
