Atty Expects Quick Ruling In Fight Over NY Casino Ballot Lingo

Law360, New York (October 11, 2013, 5:02 PM EDT) -- The viability of a lawsuit claiming unconstitutional bias advocating passage in the language of a ballot measure to expand casino gambling across New York state will get expedited attention from Albany trial court Judge Richard M. Platkin, the attorney who brought the suit said Friday.

Attorney Eric J. Snyder, who opposes gambling as a regressive tax on the poor, said Judge Platkin vowed at an Albany hearing Friday that he would have a ruling by the middle of next week.
