Rosetta Stone Can't Nix Rival's Fla. Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, Miami (October 16, 2013, 6:03 PM ET) -- A Florida judge on Sunday refused to send a trade secrets dispute between online language learning platform Open English and Rosetta Stone Ltd. to California, ruling that there is no compelling reason to disrupt plaintiff Open English's choice of the Florida forum.

Judge Jose M. Rodriguez denied a motion to dismiss filed by Rosetta Stone and its employee Nicole Wilson, who filed a declaratory judgment suit against her former employer, Open English, in California after the Florida suit.
