Worker Misclassification Suits, DOL Audits A Worry For Cos.

Law360, New York (October 29, 2013, 7:57 PM ET) -- Getting hit with litigation over the classification of workers as exempt from wage-and-hour requirements or facing a U.S. Department of Labor audit is a concern for many employers, but companies are taking steps to protect themselves, according to a Littler Mendelson PC survey released Tuesday.

About half of the human resources professionals, executives and in-house attorneys that responded to an email survey from Littler said they were concerned about misclassification suits or DOL audits.
