MDL Panel Chooses Venue For Contrast Agent Suits

Law360, New York (February 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has designated the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio as the proper venue for the product liability suits that are continuing to trickle in against the makers of gadolinium-based injectable contrast agents.

On Wednesday, the MDL panel opted to centralize the cases in the Northern District of Ohio, beating back requests for other venues like the District of Colorado or the District of Kansas to become the main forum for the litigation.
