Defense Contractor Reaches Ch. 11 In Wake Of BAE Suit

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 5:22 PM ET) -- Defense contractor Star Dynamics Corp. filed for Chapter 11 in Ohio bankruptcy court Tuesday, citing a critical lack of funds and a contentious trade secret lawsuit brought by a subsidiary of aerospace giant BAE Systems PLC.

In documents filed Tuesday, the Hilliard, Ohio-based company, which develops and sells radar systems, said that a state judge in July handed down an interim injunction barring Star Dynamics from bidding on contracts currently being pursued by the BAE unit.
