IP News Agency Sues USTR For Release Of TPP Docs

Law360, Los Angeles (December 18, 2013, 9:16 PM ET) -- Intellectual Property Watch sued the U.S. Trade Representative in New York district court Wednesday to compel the release of more documents relating to the Trans-Pacific Partnership, alleging the USTR failed to adequately respond to a Freedom of Information Act request. 

In a March 2012 FOIA request, nonprofit news agency IP-Watch asked the USTR to release information about the U.S.' negotiations over the TPP, specifically the intellectual property provisions of the treaty, according to the complaint.
