Bakken Crude Rail Transport Risky Business, PHMSA Warns

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 5:32 PM EST) -- Citing a trio of recent derailments, including a fiery crash in Quebec that killed 47 people, U.S. pipeline safety regulators said Thursday that crude oil transported from the Bakken Shale in North Dakota and Montana may be more flammable than traditional heavy crude oil.
