Visa, MasterCard Win Appeal In Interchange Fee Case

Law360, New York (March 17, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A group of businesses that sued Visa USA Inc. and MasterCard International Inc. over their contentious interchange fees has lost a challenge to a federal court's ruling that evidence of its antitrust claims was unpersuasive.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit issued an order Friday upholding the judgment that the merchants' amended complaint failed to establish a conspiracy between the companies to set the fees charged for credit card sales.
