College Athletes' NLRB Petition May Open Pandora's Box

Law360, New York (January 29, 2014, 7:40 PM EST) -- A group of Northwestern University football players are seeking a green light from the National Labor Relations Board to unionize, and while lawyers are skeptical about their prospects for success, they say a decision classifying them as “employees” would stir up a hornet's nest of legal issues that could change the landscape of college sports.
