Cooper Recalls Tires With Sidewall Problems

Law360, New York (March 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ohio-based Cooper Tire & Rubber Company has recalled 48,000 tires because the products could cause vehicle crashes.

In a report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Cooper said the tires fail to comply with a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. The company found more than 22,750 of the affected tires in its own warehouses and voluntarily recalled 48,037 more on March 14.
