Kasowitz Cuts 30 Jobs After Fiscal Crisis Cases Fade

Law360, Philadelphia (February 21, 2014, 3:20 PM EST) -- Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman LLP has laid off roughly 30 people, with the staff cuts affecting partners, of counsel, associates and staff, a partner at the firm confirmed on Friday.

The attorney pointed to a decline in the amount of work stemming from the recent global financial crisis necessitating the layoffs. He added that the bulk of the cuts were in the firm’s main office in New York City.
