OECD Head Calls For Labor Tax Changes To Create Jobs

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 1:40 PM EST) -- At a G20 finance ministers meeting Friday, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's secretary general called on large European nations to make big structural changes to the taxation of labor to create jobs and boost economic growth.

OECD Secretary General Jose Angel Gurria said Europe's larger economies were not under enormous market pressure after the Great Recession, and therefore, they did not have to face the labor taxation problem when other smaller nations did.
