Pa. Approves 1st Tavern Gambling License

Law360, Philadelphia (March 5, 2014, 3:41 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania’s Liquor Control Board on Wednesday approved the first tavern gaming license in the state, three months after the state's government enacted a measure allowing the practice.

The first license went to Midway Tavern, also known as SNZ Inc., in Hanover.

“We are pleased to be able to approve the first Tavern Gaming License,” said PLCB Chairman Joseph E. Brion in a statement. “We understand the significance of these new licenses and will continue to process each application as thoroughly and as quickly as possible.”...
