EU, OECD Say Tax Reform Can Fix Unemployment

Law360, New York (March 10, 2014, 3:04 PM EDT) -- The Council of the European Union and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development on Monday came out in support of lowering taxes on Europe’s working class to help the continent’s floundering unemployment rate.

The two supranational organizations each released separate statements saying that tax reform is a key part of the solution to fixing the continent’s high unemployment rate, which the European Commission estimates is near 11 percent.
