Law360, New York (March 19, 2014, 10:39 PM EDT) -- In yesterday’s column, we explored the types of enforcement cases the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is bringing and some of the lessons learned from those cases. Today, we look at the relief in settled CFPB enforcement cases. While there are exceptions, the relief typically consists of a combination of, or sometimes all of, the following:

1. Orders prohibiting the continuing and future violation of consumer laws, including cease and desist orders in administrative proceedings and injunctions in court proceedings.
