Louisiana AG Yanks Amgen Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (April 09, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Louisiana's attorney general has dropped an antitrust lawsuit, filed by his predecessor on his final day in office, that alleged Amgen Inc. used its monopoly in the market for one type of anti-cancer drug to boost the sales of a second anti-cancer drug through tying.

James “Buddy” Caldwell filed a notice Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana dismissing the case without prejudice.
