Report Names China, Russia Among Worst IP Pirates

Law360, New York (May 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Despite making some progress on enforcing intellectual property rights, China and Russia topped the U.S. trade representative’s list of nations that are not going far enough to protect U.S. copyrighted content from piracy.

The USTR released its “Special 301” report Monday, placing the two countries and seven others on its “priority watch list” for failing to implement adequate and effective IP rights protection for U.S. movies, music, computer software and other copyrighted material.
