AMD Accuses Intel Of Bribing PC Makers

Law360, New York (May 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has filed papers ahead of a long-awaited antitrust trial in Delaware that accuse Intel Corp. of a “bag of dirty tricks,” including paying off the world's largest personal computer makers to boycott AMD.

In a 108-page brief filed to the court on Thursday, AMD accused Intel of paying off computer manufacturers — including Dell Inc., IBM Corp., Gateway Inc. and Acer Inc. — to maintain its monopoly in microprocessors.
