Oil Cos. Bail Out Of MTBE Case With $422M Check

Law360, New York (May 08, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Thirteen oil companies have agreed to pay $422 million to settle claims that they contaminated the water used by 153 public water providers in 17 states with the gasoline additive methyl tertiary-butyl ether.
