Lawyer Faces Fine After Fee Spat With FedEx

Law360, New York (May 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A plaintiffs' lawyer who prevailed in three employment suits against FedEx Corp. faces a possible $25,000 in sanctions after allegedly lying under oath in pursuit of a $2 million cut of the winnings.

Waukeen McCoy, who represented workers in the discrimination cases against the delivery company, submitted phony billing records as part of fee applications to the presiding court, according to the special master appointed to the cases.
