Military Bid-Rigging Probe Nets Ninth Guilty Plea

Law360, New York (June 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The former head of a freight company has become the ninth person to enter a guilty plea in connection with a massive scheme to rig bids on military contracts, government officials have announced.

Frank Granizo, the one-time president of an unnamed Florida-based freight forwarding company, pled guilty to one count of wire fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.
