Judge Won't Dismiss Quest Options Backdating Suit

Law360, New York (July 22, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has rebuffed Quest Software Inc.'s bid to have a lawsuit stemming from a stock options backdating scandal dismissed.

On July 10, Judge David O. Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California denied most of Quest's motion to dismiss the second amended complaint, which was first filed by Middlesex Retirement System in January. Middlesex filed the original complaint in October.
