Employee Sues AARP For Age, Sex Discrimination

Law360, New York (July 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former AARP employee has filed a discrimination suit against the advocacy organization, alleging that she was terminated after more than 11 years of service because of her age and gender.

In a complaint filed July 22 in the Ingham County Circuit Court of Michigan, Bonita Brady, 63, claims she was not hired for at least nine positions due to her age and sex and was terminated just shy of retirement in violation of Michigan state law.
