Deals Rumor Mill: Capital One, Annabel Insurance, Dalian

By Benjamin Horney (August 7, 2015, 5:42 PM EDT) -- Capital One Financial Corp. is in the midst of exclusive discussions concerning a potential acquisition of General Electric Co.'s health care finance unit, Reuters reported Friday, and a deal could wind up being worth more than $10 billion. Rumors that GE was looking to divest the unit first sprouted in June, and according to Friday's report, Capital One has beaten out other bidders including Apollo Global Management LLC, Ares Management LP and Ventas Inc. The move is part of GE's attempt to shed most of its financing arm to streamline operations and focus on its industrial businesses, according to previous reports....
