Motorola, Zoltar Settle Spat Over 'E-911' System

Law360, New York (September 26, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Motorola Inc. has agreed to settle patent infringement claims with Zoltar Satellite Alarm Systems Inc., a telecommunications company that holds patents relating to a “911” emergency locating feature for cellular phones.

U.S. District Judge James Ware in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed off on an order dismissing with prejudice claims between Motorola and Zoltar on Wednesday, two days after the companies lodged a joint stipulation to dismiss the case.
