9th Circ. Won't Rehear Antitrust Case Over Coupons

Law360, New York (October 14, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- An appeals court has refused to reconsider a decision holding News Corp. subsidiary News America Marketing FSI Inc. liable for violating California antitrust laws through its right-of-first-refusal agreements with packaged goods companies.

In an order issued Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit rejected News America's bid for reconsideration and declined to vote on a suggestion for a rehearing en banc. The court, which did not elaborate on the decision, said it would accept no more petitions for rehearing in the case....
