Female HR Execs Sue Dell Over Sex Bias

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Female human resources executives at Dell Inc. filed a $500 million sex discrimination suit against the computer manufacturer on Wednesday, alleging that the company systematically discriminated against women in pay and promotion policies and targeted women in recent layoffs.

The four executives filed the suit as a putative class action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of thousands of current and former female managers and executives, according to attorneys representing the plaintiffs.
