Regulation, Pragmatism To Mark Obama's SEC

Law360, New York (November 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- When President-elect Barack Obama convened his 17 top economic advisers Nov. 7, two former high-level U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission officials with a reputation for strict enforcement took the stage behind him.

“That sent a message in and of itself,” said Joe Andrew, a former chairman of the Democratic National Committee in the late 1990s and now a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
