Qualcomm Held In Contempt In Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has granted a contempt motion against Qualcomm Inc. after the company allegedly violated an injunction that prohibited it from selling certain computer chips and required it to pay royalties to Broadcom Corp.

Judge James V. Selna of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted Broadcom’s motion for contempt in part Monday after the company claimed that Qualcomm had violated an injunction entered in December enjoining Qualcomm from selling certain EV-DO computer chips.
