Securities Legislation To Watch In 2009

Law360, New York (December 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- After months of falling financial dominoes, plunging portfolios and rising calls for regulation, 2009 may be the year that stiffer financial market regulation becomes a reality.

While it remains unclear what that increased regulation will look like and from where it will come — either Congress or regulatory agencies such as the embattled U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission — experts expect that the changes will be numerous.
