DOJ May Still Charge 8 Sharp, LG Execs In LCD Probe

Law360, New York (December 10, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has excluded eight executives from deals for immunity from further prosecution granted to Sharp Corp. and LG Display Co. Ltd. as part of their agreements to plead guilty and pay a combined $520 million to settle price-fixing charges over liquid crystal display screens.

The agreements, first announced in November but filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, make it possible for four executives from each company to face new charges in the government's ongoing antitrust...
