Deals Rumor Mill: BC Partners, Mondelez, Clariant

By Benjamin Horney (July 20, 2016, 7:08 PM EDT) -- European private equity outfit BC Partners has entered exclusive discussions to purchase an 80 percent stake in Israel-based furniture company Keter Plastic, Reuters reported on Wednesday, and a deal could value Keter at almost $1.6 billion. According to the report, Carlyle Group LP had previously been on the shortlist of suitors, but BC Partners has won exclusivity and is now in the process of nailing home an agreement. Keter provides household products to roughly 25,000 international retail outlets, the report noted, with 29 facilities in Israel, Europe and the U.S....
