UPSTO Unveils Five-Year Roadmap

Law360, New York (August 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Under pressure to improve the agency’s practices, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has rolled out a five-year strategic plan aimed at enhancing the quality and timeliness of the patent and trademark review process.

The office revealed the proposal on Thursday, maintaining that the framework would help “foster American innovation and competitiveness at home and around the globe.”
