Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 7:38 PM ET) -- Raj Rajaratnam took a call from a number linked to Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s Rajat Gupta only minutes before Rajaratnam beat the market by buying ahead of Warren Buffett's investment in Goldman, his ex-assistant testified Tuesday at Gupta's insider trading trial.
A man using Gupta's assistant's number called just before markets closed Sept. 23, 2008, prior to Goldman's announcement that it would sell a $5 billion stake to Buffett, former Rajaratnam assistant Caryn Eisenberg testified.
