Grasso Bids For New Judge In Trial

Law360, New York (September 12, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Unconvinced that Richard Grasso will receive a fair trial, lawyers for the former New York Stock Exchange chairman have requested that a new judge be appointed to oversee the upcoming civil case brought by New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer.

Last week, Grasso's lawyers filed a motion seeking to have a new judge assigned to the case, contending that various statements made by New York Supreme Court Justice Charles Ramos could be “impairing Mr. Grasso’s right” to a just trial.
