Daewoo Electronics Escapes Cathode Ray Tube MDL

Law360, New York (July 29, 2009, 4:22 PM ET) -- Daewoo Electronics Corp. has been dropped from the ongoing multidistrict litigation accusing several major electronics companies — including LG Electronics Inc., Panasonic Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. — of engaging in a scheme to fix the prices of cathode ray tubes used in TVs and monitors.

Both direct and indirect purchaser plaintiffs filed notices of voluntary dismissal in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday, releasing Daewoo from the litigation.
