Rambus Files Antitrust Suit Against Four Rivals

Law360, New York (May 07, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Three months after a Federal Trade Commission judge threw out an antitrust case against chip maker Rambus over the use of the company’s patented technology in industry standards, Rambus has filed its own antitrust suit against four rivals.

Rambus’ complaint, filed against Hynix Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies, Micron Technology and Siemens AG, alleges that the companies engaged in a “concerted and unlawful” effort to “eliminate competition” and “stifle innovation” in the memory market.
