Drug Charges Against Ex-Broadcom Exec Tossed

Law360, New York (January 28, 2010, 7:19 PM ET) -- A judge has reportedly dropped drug charges and civil forfeiture cases against Broadcom Corp. co-founder and former CEO Henry T. Nicholas III, six weeks after throwing out a stock options backdating case against Nicholas because of prosecutorial misconduct.

The Associated Press reported that Judge Cormac J. Carney of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California dismissed the drug charges on Thursday at the request of federal prosecutors.
