Law360, New York (February 27, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A group of Netflix customers has filed an antitrust lawsuit against the company, following Blockbuster’s claims that Netflix fraudulently obtained patents that prevent new competitors from entering the online movie rental market.
The customers, who are seeking class status, claim that with the protection of the unenforceable patents, Netflix is keeping companies from entering the Internet rental market and imposing supracompetitive prices on consumers.
